Things that say a lot about people:

  • the way which they treat the waiter/waitress
  • how they feel about the weather
  • whether they dog ear pages or highlight in books
  • fingernails
  • and hands in general
  • their preferred creative outlet
  • how much they dread/enjoy talking on the phone
  • whether or not they drink coffee
  • if they ever forget to eat
  • how honest they are with themselves (and others)
  • if they correct your grammar
  • how they treat their parents
  • how they act when they drive

Til I leave for the Philippines with just myself, my suitcase, my pack and my sista Jee. Two girls in the Philippines to spread God’s love and share His word. Jesus take the wheel. We don’t feel prepared for what’s to come but if you could keep us and the people of the church we’ll be serving at, in your prayers that would mean so much. Pray that we would open our hearts to the people and allow God to use us in any way possible to share the gospel and touch other people’s lives. We’re no priests, but I pray that God will use us and bring light to these people’s lives especially the kids’ so that their hearts may catch aflame and spread like wildfire. I’m speaking in Christian terms here but basically what I want to jot down is that Jee and I are not self-equipped whatsoever and are unable to succeed out of our own plan or will but I know God has a plan will use us in crazy ways. Stay tuned and please lift up a prayer if it doesn’t trouble you to do so. Thank you and God bless. Be back in exactly a week! :)

I honestly think that crying over a book is one of the most prominent sign of compassion for humanity. You’re crying over someone who isn’t really there, doesn’t really exist, but you still feel for them as if you have known them your entire life.

It’s actually proven by studies that people who read more are able to empathize more than the average person who doesn’t read as much.

Unless it’s mad, passionate, extraordinary love, it’s a waste of your time. There are too many mediocre things in life; Love shouldn’t be one of them
